"I don't think there is anything in the world as important or as difficult as raising a child, especially in today's world. Stories of substance abuse, bullying, social media threats, suicides, gun violence, sexual assault, etc. seem endless. Raising Resilience helps parents navigate these scary seas by providing practical information, tips and resources, as well as invaluable community support. No one can--or should--try to go it alone. We Bainbridge Islanders are lucky that we don't have to. I have been to many of the films and lectures that Raising Resilience has brought to the Island over the years, and each and every one of them has augmented my understanding of the pressures and trends facing kids today. As a result, I am more aware of and better equipped to handle the needs of my three kids. And, just as important, I don't feel that I am all alone in the battle. Raising Resilience is a tremendous community resource." - Deborah B.
