Mission

As the parenting arm of Bainbridge Youth Services, Raising Resilience supports Bainbridge Island and beyond with parenting EDUCATION, RESOURCES, and CONNECTIONS to help families thrive.

Vision

We share a vision for an empowered, vibrant community where all youth and families flourish.

History

Raising Resilience has been a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization since 2003. We are Bainbridge Island's (and beyond) parent support organization and the island residents who make up the Raising Resilience team care deeply about families, youth, and building healthy, strong communities. Even if you don't know our name, you know our programs. We started as Just Know which gave way to The Bainbridge Coalition for Youth and Parents before becoming Raising Resilience. Over the years we refined our mission and programs and in May, 2022 we were acquired by Bainbridge Youth Services for the purpose of serving families in our community in a deeper way. Volunteer

Community members who give their time through other volunteer roles are just as much a part of the circle as the rest of the team. These include members of local PTOs, teachers and staff, grandparents, and (of course) parents. If you are interested in ways to give your time or services, please contact us with the word volunteer in the subject line.
